In my CFA newsbrief I came across some good news about dividend payouts. Corporate dividend payouts in the US are up $10.4 billion this year. Only 2 companies have cut their dividend while 135 corporations have intiated, reinstated or increased it. Last year dividend payouts dropped by $39.8 billion.
